2017
After our local RadioShack closed in 2017 we tried to carry a wider variety of electronic components and core RadioShack products, but had difficulty in determining the selection needed to serve our area.
Summer 2018
RadioShack began partnering with HobbyTown USA to get RadioShack Express kiosks in their stores. Upon hearing this news in the late summer/early fall we discovered they also had an independent dealer program.
October 2018
We spoke with the RadioShack team in early October and got approval for our original storefront to carry their products, but did not have the square footage needed for the products and would have to open our workspace for some products to be displayed. Since this was not feasible in such a small area we found a retail space nearly double the size (conveniently in the same shopping center), and began the preparations to bring RadioShack back to Elizabeth City!
November 2018
Our new storefront was opened, but very barren.
December 2018
We soft launched RadioShack products.
January 2019
We had a Ribbon Cutting with the Elizabeth City Chamber of Commerce and became a RadioShack Fix-It-Here location in January. Since then we have been expanding our inventory and will continue to do so!
